Hello, This is an important back to school message for high school students and families
Mon, 08/23/2010 - 07:00Hello, This is an important back to school message for high school students and families. Due to the limited access to Summit High School at the main entrance, we are asking for your cooperation by limiting the number of parent and student drivers next week from Monday, August 23rd - Friday, August 27th. We strongly encourage all students to ride Summit School District buses to help minimize car traffic in and out of the high school. We anticipate congestion due to construction delays and thank you in advance for your patience and understanding. We are encouraging all parent and student drivers, especially those from Breckenridge, to access SHS from Highway 9 at the back entrance via Jarelle and Alpensee Roads. New this year, parents will drop students off at the student entrance on the back southwest side of the building. Members of SHS Staff and a Summit County Sheriff's Officer will be directing traffic on the first day of school. Our top priority is keeping students safe. Please share this message with your student driver. We encourage everyone to drive with extra caution when entering Summit High School and driving through school parking lots next week. Thank you for your assistance.
