Breckenridge Music Institute

Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center (BOEC)
The Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center (BOEC) is a non-profit 501(c)3 human service organization whose mission is to expand the potential of people with disabilities and special needs through meaningful, educational and inspiring outdoor experiences. The BOEC started in 1976 with an all-volunteer staff and gear that came from their closets. Today, the BOEC offers state-of-the-art programming and features a highly trained professional staff. The major programs are: Adaptive Ski and Ride Program - with operations at the Breckenridge and Keystone Ski Resorts. Wilderness Program - offering multi-day camps at our Breckenridge campus and mobile programs on National Forest and BLM lands and rivers. Internship Program - providing professional on-the-job training to students of recreational therapy and outdoor education. Handcycling Program mountain and road cycling for persons with mobility impairments. Situated on 39 acres, the BOEC boasts a beautiful campus with a modern lodge, climbing wall, high ropes course, cabins, teepees and many more resources for experiential education. Mobile courses are offered as well, operating on surrounding public lands and rivers.
